I'll never EVER raise my son in England
I'll never EVER raise my son in England
(or absolutely anywhere in the Western world)
I'm aware this is an ✨ extremely ✨ controversial take
but I simply choose freedom
not just freedom to play outside at night without risk of danger
but freedom to experience new cultures
speak different languages (bro is trilingual lmao)
learn at a school that doesn't glorify academic success
what I LOVE about Bali is that its about 2-3 generations 'behind'
AI isn't rly a thing here
there's kids playing with street dogs on literally every single street
!SCREEN TIME DOESN'T EXIST!
children are LIVING!!!
climbing trees, making mud forts, running in rice fields with animals
not trapped behind Cocomelon in a school optimising kids to enter into society's world of workers
at the age of 2 months, my son has seen more of the world than most 18 year olds
at 6 years old, he'll have more physical and mental freedom than most 14 year olds
(he probably already has a bigger frontal lobe than me)
so I don't just live in Bali for the sun, beaches and coconuts
I live in Bali for the freedom it gives me and my family
because I don't want my children growing up with ropes around their wings before they've even learnt to fly
