'you're so lucky'
'you're so lucky'
'I wish I lived in Bali'
I spent 3 years doing 100 hour weeks
Fuelled by Red Bulls, free library electricity and a voice in my head that I now know was God
Understandably, people look at my lifestyle now and assume I got lucky
Maybe it was Daddy's money? No babe, I was in a refuge when I was 6, my clothes and food donations from the community
Did I do a course? Get investment? Win some kind of lottery?
No. Nada. Nothing. Zilch. NOL
I never understood what I was being led to
I didn't believe in God, I was a scientist!
But there was that voice, telling me what to do at each step
I graduated, wahoo - finally!
I left the UK when I graduated with -£1k in my Monzo overdraft and a one-way ticket to Asia
'go' it said - 'it will all make sense'
B*TCH WHAT DO U MEAN 'GO'?? IM BROKE!
I mean at this point maybe I should've admitted myself into some kind of hospital lmao
but I followed it. of course I did.
and now, the girl who had no 'purpose', no money, no backup plan...
is a mother and wife, on the other side of the world, in a job she absolutely adores
SORRY WHA?
so you got me good God, because you were right
but somehow I know that he's only just getting started...
