what I actually do in my first week as a fractional CMO 🧬
(spoiler: I don't touch Insta)
day 1: I ask for the Shopify login, NOT the social logins! day 2: site CVR. mobile vs desktop. if there's a big gap, that's where we start day 3: AOV. are we bundling? upselling? or just praying people add a second item? day 4: abandoned carts + email flows. (9 times out of 10 the welcome flow was written in 2022 and nobody's looked at it since) day 5: where is the money ACTUALLY coming from? not the views. not the followers. the money
most founders are shocked when they see it laid out
bc they've spent months on the channel that brings in 4% of revenue (or God forbid, have just been relying on Meta Ads to scale)
THEN we build the content plan
‼️ not before ‼️
that's how one of my clients went to £13k+ in revenue from one channel in 30 days, with a £45 AOV
it wasn't luck and it wasn't a viral video
it was looking at the 'boring' numbers first
(Alex Hormozi talks a lot about the boring work being the revenue-driving work, and he ain't wrong bestie)
sooooo if your marketing person started with 'let's do more Reels'...
babe, we need to talk 💅
