Insta finally caught up to Twitter
Insta finally caught up to Twitter
(only took them 15 years)
They just dropped a native repost feature.
And while everyone's losing their minds over it...
I'm sitting here thinking about what this ACTUALLY means for brands.
Here's what's really happening:
Instagram just admitted their algorithm is broken.
Think about it.
Why add a repost button NOW?
Because organic reach is dead. Because creators are EXHAUSTED. Because brands are bleeding money on ads that don't convert.
The repost feature isn't innovation.
It's desperation.
But here's where it gets interesting for smart marketers:
→ UGC just became 10x more powerful → Community management is now a growth strategy → Your customers are about to become your marketing team
While everyone's reposting memes...
I'm already seeing brands use this to:
Amplify customer testimonials Create social proof loops Build engagement pods that actually work
The brands that win?
Won't be the ones with the prettiest feed.
They'll be the ones who understand that reposts = free distribution.
Instagram just handed you a growth hack.
Most of you will use it to share cat videos.
The smart ones will build empires.
Which one are you?
