if you know me on any kind of personal level
if you know me on any kind of personal level
you know I have an addiction
🫨 my Kindle 🫨
it's with me in the morning, when I leave the house, tucked up beside me in bed
it honestly gets more attention on a daily basis than my husband 😂
(sorry, Jo-Rémi Saada)
but there's something beautiful about being immersed in a story
not a Netflix-show, attention span-killing, trending new whatever other bs screen time
but in creating a world yourself - in logging off of screens and using nothing but your imagination to entertain you
call me a nerd (as a scientists and book lover, I am used to it) but my Kindle is my safe space
it's where no one can send me a message, I don't get any ads, I'm completely MIA
It's just me and my imagination, with some words guiding where the latter goes
I honestly think we need more of it in society
AI is amazing. Tech is helping my business like never before. Heck, I even use an app to summarise my journal entries - and it helps!
but nothing - NOTHING! No app, AI, tech, SaaS, website...
can replace the power of the human mind to simply 🧚♀️imagine🧚♀️
so yeah, I'm addicted to my Kindle
and I hope my son grows up to be addicted to books too
we can optimise, prioritise, revolutionise, all the -ise
but let's not lose what makes us human alongside all of these great things x
(ps - Amazon I would love one of your new Kindles. Collab? 👀)
