got called a r*tard on Threads today
mom am i famous now?
this was my original post:
------- my son will grow up flying kites in the rice fields and playing out after dark that childhood doesn't really exist in the UK anymore (thats the whole reason i left) -------
people came for my NECK in swarms assuming I meant people used to be able to play in rice fields in the UK
1. it really isn't that deep 😭 2. it's THREADS 3. it's an interpretation
could I have added something else to clarify like 'that KIND of childhood doesn't exist...'
sure
but u guys know me i just type and brain dump in my personal branding
I'll start adding a filter to my posts, lemme just check...
never x
if something's slightly off, it actually doesn't matter bc u still get the point of the post. if u don't scroll on like a normal human being?
what's affected me isn't the hate (im used to it 💀) it's the realisation that these types of people still exist on social media
cos its 2026 babes why are we STILL bashing people for no reason?? over a THREAD??
do you know the impact that can have on someone not doing well mentally? trying to pursue a new project? dealing with anxiety? it sounds dramatic but it can shatter their dreams or pull them back into a rut - I've seen it happen so many times
it's actually pretty sad, and I hope things change before my son inevitably gets social media (or whatever brain chip Elon Musk invention is around in 2045)
in a world so connected, why is it so impossible for some people to spread kindness (or if not kindness, keep your thoughts to yourself)?
